According to the Australian media there is to be a food drop to re-supply the general store in Birdsville. But meanwhile whilst we wait for the roads to dry out the Birdsville Party continues with a photo-shoot outside the iconic Birdsville Hotel...

There are lots of characters in the crowd.

The hotel still seems to have plenty of beer (and wine), however they have run out of cigarettes and packets are being auctioned for charity.

There still seems to be lots of take away food.

Lots of people were expecting to be back home by now, a few of then (about 50) have flown out on special charter flights for up to $1000 Australian. Others have been queueing to phone home or work.
