All five wheels were removed and washed in hot soapy water with a stiff brush, then each wheel was pressure washed. The four wheel hubs were also washed in soapy water and pressure washed. Five new tyres were fitted (Continental MPT81). |

Although extensive use was made of an industrial pressure washer it was often found that hot soapy water and a stiff brush worked better. Note the two 10,000kg jacks in use. |

Whilst the wheels were removed the hubs were pressure washed both on the front.... |

...and the rear. A right-angle pressure washer lance was invaluable. Each wheel took about two hours to remove, clean and replace. The spare wheel took about an hour. Total time about 9 hours. |
